- Nofa Riyadh has achieved Safehotels Executive Level Certification for the second consecutive year.
- The certification involves an independent on-site assessment covering hotel safety, security, emergency preparedness, crisis management and guest protection.
- Safehotels certification is renewed annually following assessment of a hotel’s procedures, systems, documentation and security and fire safety arrangements.
The Executive Level is the highest level within the Safehotels certification programme. The assessment covers areas including safety and security, emergency preparedness, crisis management and guest protection.
For guests, the certification provides an additional indication that safety and security arrangements have been independently assessed rather than relying solely on a hotel’s own policies or claims. Safehotels says its certification is designed to give guests greater confidence in their choice of accommodation, while also helping corporate travel managers and organisations assess hotels as part of their duty-of-care processes.
Hotels seeking certification undergo an on-site assessment by a Safehotels auditor. This includes a detailed walk-through of the property, visual inspections, interviews with relevant managers and employees, and testing or inspection of selected security and fire safety equipment and systems.
Hotels are also required to provide documentation covering areas such as fire, safety, security and crisis management procedures, plans and service records. Where corrective actions are identified, evidence of those actions must be submitted and is subsequently checked as part of the certification process. Certification is valid for one year, with hotels reassessed annually.
Nofa Riyadh said maintaining the Executive Level certification for a second year reflects continued work by its management, heads of department, security team and wider workforce.
