- Censys and Rilian launch Operation Digital Shield to strengthen UAE critical infrastructure cyber resilience.
- Initiative combines internet intelligence, AI-driven automation and cyber exposure assessments.
- Programme aims to support government entities, essential services and CNI operators in identifying cyber risks.
The initiative combines Censys’ internet intelligence capabilities with Rilian’s agentic AI solutions and security automation expertise to provide organisations with greater visibility of exposed assets and support proactive cyber defence strategies.
The programme is focused on strengthening the protection of cybersecurity assets across sectors including government, civilian and humanitarian organisations, with particular attention to critical infrastructure operators.
According to the companies, Operation Digital Shield is built around three pillars: emergency response, civilian protection and team preparedness. The initiative aims to provide Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) and cyber commands with real-time intelligence, including national exposure assessments, alerts on critical vulnerabilities and visibility into Industrial Control Systems and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (ICS/SCADA) environments.
Meriam ElOuazzani, Vice President – Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) at Censys, said the increasing volume of cyber threats requires organisations to move beyond visibility alone and adopt practical defence measures.
“The need for proactive cyber defence measures continues to grow,” she said. “Protecting critical infrastructure and sovereign data requires more than visibility alone, calling for practical defence mechanisms.”
Censys and Rilian said the initiative will also support cybersecurity education and preparedness by helping security teams develop the skills and knowledge required to detect, respond to and mitigate evolving cyber threats.
Ryan Elzein, Regional Director for Europe and the Middle East at Rilian, said Operation Digital Shield is designed to help organisations identify sensitive data, understand security gaps and prioritise remediation efforts.
The launch in the UAE forms part of a wider expansion of Operation Digital Shield across the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) region. The companies said the programme will work with regional cybersecurity organisations to provide critical infrastructure operators, government entities and essential service providers with insight into cyber exposure and actionable remediation measures.
