16 Dec Tehran publisher turns to Taiwan for IP solution
A printing and publishing company in Iran has upgraded its security with a new IP surveillance solution from Taiwanese company, Vivotek.
Chaponashr Printing and Publishing, based in Tehran, needed a security solution to monitor the movement of materials and staff throughout the facility. It used local system’s integrator Pooya Fara Negar (PFN) to handle the installation.
A total of 171 cameras were used across the factory which included nine different camera models. Within Chaponashr’s production and binding area, as well as the facility’s main entrance, four 2-megapixel SD8363E speed dome network cameras were chosen for their 360-degree monitoring capability and 20x zoom function.
A further 92 2-megapixel IB8369 bullet network cameras were installed throughout the facility. These cameras feature built-in IR illuminators that are effective up to 20 metres and come in a weather-proof IP66-rated housing. Adding another layer of security, 11 units of FD8137H and FD8169 were installed throughout Chaponashr’s well-lit office space, making use of the two models’ ability to handle natural or bright-light conditions thanks to WDR functionality.
All were connected to two network video recorders and controlled and managed by Vivotek’s Vast software.
