Border & Infrastructure Security section announced for IFSEC 2017

Border & Infrastructure Security section announced for IFSEC 2017

IFSEC International will introduce a Borders & Infrastructure Exhibition area at the show next year which will focus on large scale security challenges including border control, national infrastructure, transport and key strategic assets.

The organisers say the development is a natural evolution for IFSEC International, realising the ever increasing alignments between commercial security areas such as surveillance, video analytics, access control, physical perimeter security and IP networks with more strategic areas such as border control, command and control, emergency planning, and the protection of national infrastructure.

IFSEC Borders & Infrastructure will be a dedicated event in its own right, strategically placed within the main body of the IFSEC exhibition. It will have its own entrance, VIP Lounge & Networking Area as well as a seminar theatre which will provide a wide range of presentations and case studies delivered by a range of leading experts from around the world. For more sensitive, high level content, there will be off the floor gallery suites allocated for specific closed events and the visitors will be under strict qualification and vetting procedures.

This new addition to IFSEC International will be an ideal commercial platform for manufacturers and service suppliers in the areas of physical perimeter security, command and control equipment and solutions, scanning and screening, IT/ communications, barriers/ bollards, gates and shutters, training, transport security (including rail, airports and maritime) border control technology, emergency response solutions, CBRN Equipment, business continuity, and cyber security.

IFSEC’s event director, Gerry Dunphy, says: ‘’The introduction of a dedicated Borders & Infrastructure Exhibition is a natural evolution for IFSEC International as we aim to provide a complete and targeted security solution for key specifiers and purchasers. IFSEC International has a strong history of attracting senior representatives from government, utilities and national infrastructure although to the outside this hasn’t always been part of the overall perception of the show. As IFSEC International is now firmly embedded in London, it has an outreach to senior decision makers for this key UK and international audience. They now have a have a destination at the event to visit and meet leading suppliers and partners from across the whole security spectrum; a new and uniquely rewarding investment of their time.’’

IFSEC International is a world leading security event with a 45 year history in delivering over 28,000 customers annually to the global security industry.

Registration for the event, from the 21 – 23 June at ExCeL London, is available at: http://www.ifsec.co.uk/Borders
